I’ve seen 12 of these. None I’d give a 5/5, but some have been very enjoyable. I think I’d say my favorites so far are Palm Springs and WolfWalkers. Niki and I also really enjoyed The Little Things, in spite of its imperfections. We were split on Tenet. She found it hard to connect with any of the characters, but it’s very original and a lot of fun if you’re in the mood for a thriller with a new twist on time travel. Of the Best Picture nominees, Mank was extremely well made, but I didn’t find it terribly compelling from a story standpoint. The Trial of the Chicago 7 is very Aaron Sorkin, so if you enjoy his movies, you’ll like this one. Nomadland is great for anyone who really likes indie films. It felt a little like Into the Wild, or Wild, and Frances McDormand is fantastic as always.
My own ratings are included (following the RT%) and I’m happy to discuss any of them. Please share your thoughts or recommendations.
